American Beauty Haul

This post has been sitting in my drafts for a while, but better late than never!

No trip to the States would be complete without (multiple) visits to Sephora, right? Although I have heard through the grapevine that the beauty haven is coming soon to London, but we shall see...

Strangely enough, whilst in New York, I didn't feel particularly inclined to shop and I do have slight regrets about that now, but at the time I just wanted to see the city and explore during my limited time there. But obviously Sephora had to happen. And I have a general rule - I don't buy things that are available at home. The exchange rate is terrible at the moment anyway, so it's not like I'd be getting a better deal stocking up on my Urban Decay Naked Concealer!

So onto the good stuff...

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick - I've been hearing about these lipsticks for months, and was desperate to get my hands on one. There were a couple of shades I wanted but couldn't find, so I went for Trust Issues which is a lovely 'dark wine/cool toned-purple-with-a-hint-of-brown' shade, perfect for the winter months! I have yet to try it, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it. Swatching it in store, it seemed super pigmented and really rich in colour. I just wish I'd picked up another shade now I'm home. Please bring ABH Liquid Lipsticks to the UK!

NARS Mini (eeee) Radiant Creamy Concealer - Ok, yes NARS is available in the UK, but I've never seen a mini concealer. The line of doom as you queue to pay for your items gets me every time. They have the BEST minis, products I actually want to use!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Liner - This is my ultimate HG liquid eyeliner and somehow I managed to keep my last one going for a good year and a half, and refused to use anything else. Granted, I only wear liquid liner once or twice a week, but I still think that's a good lifespan! Perhaps not the wisest choice as I know make up goes off and whatnot, but it wasn't causing me any irritation. This is seriously the BEST liquid liner out there in my opinion. It's very black, so easy to use and stays in place all day long, but it's not difficult to remove. I love it.

Urban Decay (Mini) Eyeshadow Primer Potion - another 'got me in the line of doom' - you just don't get minis like this at home! (Although I've noticed Boots are introducing more and more minis to their till points. Mini Benefit Hula? YES PLEASE.) I love this primer potion, it keeps my eyeshadow in place all day. Make-up saviour.

Ouai Treatment Masque - I've been hearing lots of good things about Jen Atkin's haircare range and really wanted to try it out. I'm super excited to give this hair masque a go. I spotted some other products in Harvey Nichols at the weekend, here in Edinburgh. So if I do like it, I will definitely be investigating other items in the range too. Check back for my thoughts on this one!

Jaclyn Hill x Becca Champagne Split Prosecco Pop/Pamplemousse - THE STAR OF THE SHOW. I'm a long-time Jaclyn Hill fan, and purchased Champagne Pop as soon as it came out (still obsessed). I had really wanted to try the split pans but couldn't face the Sephora shipping faff. I was shocked to see them in stock in the first Sephora I walked into and immediately began frantically swatching. Seeing them online, I was 100% convinced I would go for Champagne Pop/Flowerchild but in real life, it just didn't wow me. Instead I went for Prosecco Pop/Pamplemousse - I already have Champagne Pop, and Pamplemousse is such a gorgeous blush shade, I loved it straightaway.

After all that, I'm feeling spendy again... Anything you'd recommend picking up in my next Sephora haul?
