Soap & Glory Haul

Happy Sunday everyone! I may have made a sneaky Boots purchase this week... In fairness, I had run out of my precious Anastasia Brow Whiz and the brows were in need of some shape. But seeing as the Brow Whiz is not the easiest to get hold of, and a little out of my current budget, I decided I wanted to try out Soap and Glory's Archery brow pencil. Cue lunch hour spent browsing the aisles of Boots. And it just so happened that Soap and Glory was on 3 for 2... It'd be rude not to right?

I've been a huge fan of the Soap and Glory body products for years, but I've never tried any of their make up products. I know bloggers rave about various S&G items, so I chose the three things I've heard most good reviews on.

First up, the Archery for my brows. This looks like an exact replica of the Anastasia Brow Whiz, and has a spoolie one end with a waxy pencil on the other. I'm going to write a full review/comparison of the two so stay tuned for that.

The second purchase was Solar Powder, a Lily Pebbles enabled purchase. She has banged on about this bronzer since I've followed her (read: a looong time) and I've FINALLY purchased it. Really excited to try this out and pleased that I've got my hands on one with the new non-cardboard packaging.

Finally, I picked up the Supercat liquid eyeliner pen. I adore the Collection liquid liner and the Kat Von D liner, but I've heard good things about this one and couldn't resist the purchase! I'm hoping it'll be really black, that's my one stipulation with liquid eyeliners!

Look out for more detailed reviews after I've given these a good trial! Should I add any other Soap and Glory products to my little collection? What are your favourites?

  2. I've heard only good things about the Archery brow pencil so i'll be interested to see how it compares to the Brow Whiz! Love a good Lily Pebbles enabled purchase.. She's forever banging on about the Solar Powder, I feel like I'm doing a disservice by not picking it up. I have the Wonderbronze Shimmer brick from S&G which is probably a touch too dark for my current skin tone but I'll likely get a lot of use out of it when and if Summer ever appears! I've eyed up the Sexy Mother Pucker gloss sticks for what seems like an eternity too but whenever I go into Boots, the testers are always disgusting and it's put me off... I just need to bite the bullet! xxx

    1. So far I'm enjoying the Archery, but will give my full thoughts soon! Haha, I felt the exact same with Solar Powder, I couldn't ignore it any longer! Ohhh I had a look at the Sexy Mother Pucker glosses as they sound good, but I am too much of a lipstick person now, I don't know if I can convert myself to using gloss again! It's too windy for that jazz in Scotland...

  4. I've got the Supercat liner and it's not my fave unfortunately. It goes on pretty black but I feel like it fades on my eyelids quite quickly and I have to reapply often. A lot of people seem to love it though so maybe that's just me!

    1. Faye, I tried this yesterday and first impressions I definitely agree with you! It faded quickly on me and smudged majorly when I rubbed my eye.... Probably shouldn't be rubbing my eye when wearing liquid eyeliner but hey!

  5. I really want to get my hands on the Archery brow pencil but can never seem to find it in stock, will be curious to see just how similar it is to the more expensive Brow Wiz x

  7. I like these products. They are good quality products and also not so expensive. I also like their Kick Ass pressed powder, it is a great one.

    1. I think that's the best part for me Ela is that they're so reasonably priced! And they do have the most imaginative names too :) I'm not much of a powder girl because my skin is quite dry but I want to check out the kick ass concealer.
