Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow | Pale Barley

I never thought I would ever own anything from Burberry - although I would love to one day own one of the iconic trench coats *swoon* however, I think that may remain a dream. Something from Burberry that is in my price range (sort of...) is their make up range. I actually had no idea that Burberry have a cosmetics line until fairly recently.

I first saw a review of Pale Barley on Vivianna Does Makeup's blog (go and check her out if you haven't already, she writes an awesome beauty blog and has a great YouTube channel!) and thought 'I. Need. That. Eyeshadow.' But it was kinda pricey, and upon doing a little internet research, I also realised it was very much out of stock - everywhere. So I forgot about it and moved on with life, as you do! A couple of months later, I was walking through Heathrow Airport when I saw a Burberry counter and a little alarm went off in my head. Pale Barley! And at a duty free price? Sold!

Fast forward a few months, and this eyeshadow has become a staple in my makeup routine. The shade is a goldeny-taupe, it's shimmery but not sparkly and the texture is super soft and blend-able. It lasts all day long and works well alone with lots of mascara. I love it! I can't write a post about Burberry without mentioning the packaging. Their eyeshadows come in ridiculously beautiful metal cases which are packaged in a black velvet case - OTT perhaps, but a special treat. Luxury at its best!

Have you tried Pale Barley?
